TEAM NAME TRANSITION
The Sports Fest in ACLC Pasig started way back 2009, when only a few number of students were enrolled.
There were 4 teams which were established (White, Black, Red & Blue). Each team had its own names and trademarks. In 2009, White Team was named "White Warriors" and never altered the name until the present time. The Black Team, however, changed its name twice. In 2009 – "Black Phoenix", on the following year – "Black Panthers" and in 2011 until the present time, Black team already carried the name "Black Knights". On the other hand, Red Team had constant change in its name as well. In 2009 – “InfraRed”, in the following year – "Red Lions" and in 2011 until the present time, Red Team carried the name "Red Panthers". Same with Blue Team, it also had changes in its name. In 2009 – "BlueTooth" (kind of like a rivalry against the "Infrared" of the Red Team), in the following year – "Blue Sharks" and in 2011 until the present time, Blue Team carried the name "Blue Falcons". Now that we already know how the names of each teams transformed, let’s now move on to the transition of team leaders. Every year, there could only be one champion, and that’s what we are going to find out now. |
TEAM LEADERS
Of course, how will a team be organized without a leader? That’s the reason why each team has a leader who will put discipline and manage the team at the same time.
Since 2009, each team experienced different types of leadership. In White Team’s 1st year (2009) – Sir Suhito Domingo, on the 2nd year (2010) – Ma’am Jessa Cabalonga, on the 3rd year – Sir Michael Tipones (2011) and on the 4th year (2012)– Ma’am Ann Michelle Mailed. In Black Team’s 1st year (2009) – Ma’am Genesis Usi, on the 2nd year (2010) – Sir Bryan Tercenio, on the 3rd year – Ma’am Irene Garcia (2011) and on the 4th year (2012) – Ma’am Katherine Salazar. In Red Team’s 1st year (2009) – Ma’am Shirly Fajarito, on the 2nd year (2010) – Sir Jericho Fajarito, on the 3rd - 4th year (2011-2012) – Ma’am Diana Manzano. In Blue Team’s 1st year (2009) – Ma’am Jack Maala, on the 2nd - 4th year (2010-2012) – Ma’am Maria Jobelle Lee. |
WINNING STREAK
For 2 straight years, White Warriors held on to victory but came in 2nd place on the 3rd year (2011) and last place on the 4th year (2012).
In that same 2 years when White Warriors had the victory, Black Knights came in 2nd place, on the 3rd year, the team somewhat stole the victory from White Warriors and on the 4th year, the team came in 3rd place.
Red Panthers came in 3rd place for 3 consecutive years (2009 - 2011) but stole the victory when the year 2012 came – when the dramatic championship was won by the team.
Blue team came in last place for 3 consecutive years as the Red Panthers placed 3rd. But, when the 4th year came in, the team eventually grabbed the 2nd place or 1st runner-up award.
So who's it gonna be this year? We're not yet sure what time takes home the bacon.
One thing's for sure, all our players will go the EXTREMES just to WIN!
Extreme efforts, hard work and prayers! Good luck to all of us!
